On March 27 2008 the Australian College of Business and Technology (ACBT) celebrated 10 years of operation and academic excellence in Colombo. Today ACBT has over 1300 students studying foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Business and Information Technology. ACBT works in association with Edith Cowan University (ECU) located in Perth, Western Australia. ECU is Western Australia's second largest university with almost 23,000 students, an excellent reputation as a responsive and forward-thinking institution and an Australian leader in the provision of professionally focused degree programs The ACBT IELTS Centre is one of only two Centres for IELTS testing in Sri Lanka. The Centre has been an outstanding success and has won two awards for excellence in the provision of IELTS testing. In December 2007 ACBT became part of the Australian based Navitas Group (formerly IBT Education).
