The ECU-acbt MBA Alumni was launched in August 2008. Over 60 alumni, representing a wide cross section of the business community in Colombo attended this launch.

Ms Colleen Kent, Principal of ACBT and Patron of the Alumni said she was delighted to be involved with this Alumni as such a society enabled people to stay in touch with friends made during the period of study in the MBA program as well as providing extensive networking opportunities for its members. Ms Kent also believes the ECU-ACBT MBA Alumni will also foster further goodwill between Australia and Sri Lanka.

ACBT commenced delivery of the ECU MBA program in October 2004 with 18 students. Today over 300 students are enrolled in the program which is a testament to the international reputation of ECU and the applied learning approach of the MBA program.

The ECU-ACBT MBA Alumni will be holding a number of functions, both social and professional, to facilitate networking opportunities for its members and the Sri Lankan business community.

Mr Sheahan Arasaratnam, President of the Alumni stated that it is the responsibility of the Alumni to assist to realize ACBT’s objectives. He was confident that there would be many opportunities for past and current students to obtain further value from the MBA by being part of a network whose membership would increase annually through a number of seminars, workshops and social acitivites.
